HANDRAILS

I fabricate and install handrails and grab rails suitable for all stairways and ramps including challenging terrain in the garden. I have neat solutions that ensure strong handrails, set out at a consistent height as specified by the Building Code of Australia. Preferred materials are stainless steel or powder coated aluminium. The stainless steel tube is a dull satin finish or shiny mirror finish. Powder coated aluminium can blend in with the surrounds better. Galvanised steel pipe with joiners can also be a functional and affordable option. Handrails and grab rails reduce falls risk. They are often based on assessment by an Occupational Therapist, allowing older people and people with a disability to live safely and independently in their own home.
